Merrimack Repertory Theatre

Merrimack Repertory Theatre has been Merrimack Valley’s professional theatre company since 1979, and is an integral part of Lowell’s identity as the cultural heart of the region.

Volunteers

FRIENDS OF MRT

Join us this season as a member of the Friends of MRT. The Friends of MRT is a fundraising auxiliary that hosts special events, social functions and fund drives. This vital group plays a pivotal role in strengthening Merrimack Repertory Theatre’s base of support, often by introducing people to MRT for the first time. Not only will you enjoy the fun, social environment, networking opportunities with other theatre lovers and supporters, and the valuable sense of accomplishment that accompanies volunteer work, but we have added benefits exclusively for members of the Friends. The Friends meet monthly in the MRT Administrative Offices in the Donahue Center at 132 Warren St. in Lowell, and receive:

  • One ticket to Friends & Famiy Night performances
  • Discounted tickets to Friends of MRT produced fundraising events

For more information, or to join the Friends of MRT, please contact Marianna Wood at 978-654-7579 or marianna.wood@mrt.org.

USHER

Ushering offers you the opportunity to help support professional theatre in your community and earn great theatre-going benefits as well.  Our usher corps helps to create a welcoming environment for our patrons by greeting patrons, scanning tickets, passing out playbills, and serving concessions.  To sign up as a volunteer usher, please complete this simple form.

COHORT CLUB

Every year we look for enthusiastic, active members of the community to join our Cohort Club, a group of MRT VIPs who get exclusive behind-the-scenes access to rehearsals and performances. Learn more about the Cohort Club here.

ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE SUPPORT

On occasion, we can use a few extra hands around the office preparing mailings, event invitations or cleaning. To sign up to assist with administrative office projects, please complete this simple form.
